Falls Dam is an area that provides endless inspiration for painting, with it's grouping of old fishing huts, nestled in below the magnificent Hawkdun Ranges.
I don't usually have any evidence of human habitation in my landcapes, but I love these old fishing huts, and the contrast between their geometry and the soft organic shapes of the mountains behind.
With this work I've chosen to centre the huts, creating a symmetry with the shape mountains behind.
