I love painting the Hawkdun Ranges. Here I have captured them on one of those sunny, crisp winter days that we get here in Central Otago. Normally, my landscapes are free of any evidence of human habitation, but I love these old fishing huts - the hard geometric lines provide a great contrast to the gentle rolling curves of the mountains behind.
