This painting captures Glendhu Bay right at the start of summer. I love this time of year at Glendhu - all the bright green tones are back on the trees, but you still get the last of the winter snow clinging to Black Peak, creating a beautiful contrast with it's whiteness. I spent quite a long time down at Glendhu Bay one morning last December with my camera, trying to get the perfect shot to work from. After an hour or two the clouds cleared and I got lots of great high contrast, sunny pictures to work from and this is the result!
